Terms & Conditions of Trading

General

  1. No contract of sale will exist between the purchaser and BikepartsUK.com until payment has been received and cleared by the purchaser's bank or card issuer. Any contract that exists thereafter will be available in the English language only and will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with English law. The purchaser and BikepartsUK.com irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Payment

  1. Payment is to be made strictly at the time of purchase, either by Mastercard/Visa or by cheque.
  2. Where payment is made by cheque, it will not be deemed to have been made until the funds have been cleared by the drawer's bank.

Ownership of goods

  1. The purchaser acknowledges that ownership of goods are not transferred from PatternParts to the purchaser until payment has been received and cleared.

Prices

  1. The prices shown on the website are inclusive of VAT at 17.5% (VAT Registration Number 814 0824 53), but are not inclusive of postage and packing. A carriage charge will be added to the final price at the checkout.
  2. The quoted prices are based upon the current cost of materials, transportation, labour and other overheads and are subject to reasonable adjustments in the event of alterations to the cost of the aforementioned overheads.

Availability

  1. All items shown on the stocklist are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock we will inform the purchaser and give him/her the option of back ordering the item or cancellation.

Delivery

  1. Whilst we will make every endeavor to deliver any orders to the purchaser on the date stated, the purchaser acknowledges that any delivery dates or times stated should be regarded as an estimate only.
  2. If we hold an ordered part in stock and the order is placed before 3.30pm we will despatch the item on a next working day service.
  3. We can only accept orders for delivery within the UK. The cost and method of shipping is determined by the overall value of the order. Small orders that are relatively low in value will be sent by Royal Mail, otherwise goods may be despatched by CityLink or Securicor and a signature will be required upon delivery.

Privacy Policy

  1. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
  2. We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.
  3. We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent.
  4. The type of information we will collect about you includes;

    Your Address
    Phone Number
    Email Address
    Credit Card Details

  5. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
  6. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
  7. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law

Returns Policy

  1. If you are returning an item because of an error on our stocklist or because it is defective, we will be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in returning the item to us, otherwise you will be responsible for these costs.
  2. Non-defective goods can only be accepted for return if they are unopened and in their original condition.
  3. If you wish to return an item to us, please email us on returns@BikepartsUK.com explaining the reason for the return. We will then allocate a returns number for you to quote on the parcel. The item(s) should then be sent to the following address;

Cancellations

  1. Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within seven working days of delivery. To cancel this contract, return the item to our returns department (at the address shown above under 'returns policy') in original, unopened condition. Enclose a note detailing your name, address, telephone number, Order ID and 'Cancellation of Order'.
  2. Please note that you will be responsible for covering return postage, unless the item supplied was not the correct item due to an error on our stocklist or the item is defective.

Statutory Rights

  1. The terms and conditions of the contract do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
